This degree equips you with the skills to operate effectively in the e-business environment and to manage or lead either the transformation of existing business processes or the creation of new e-business activity. It is suitable for graduates from a whole range of, business, engineering and science backgrounds as well as those with a qualification in IT. You'll learn techniques to manage the strategic development of e-business based organisations and appropriate e-business technologies as well as how to evaluate, manage and improve the operational functions of an organisation.
The programme focuses not only on online businesses, but also very much on the online activities and communications across more traditional organisations. Online engagement is a defining feature of today's business environment, and as such is an essential element for most businesses, governments and institutions. Modules include: e-Business Fundamentals; e-Customer Relationship Management; Digital Marketing Software and Techniques; Finance for e-Business; Information Systems Management; Supply Chain Integration; e-Commerce; Big Data Analytics and Visualisation plus an additional elective choice.
Learning Style
The taught component of the course is a mixture of lectures, seminars, syndicate/group work, practicals, online learning and forum activities. Module leaders are experts in their fields and are supported by external speakers working in organisations at the forefront of their fields.
The taught component of the course is assessed primarily through written assignments, although some modules include assessed in-module exercises. There are no written exams.
Each module will usually last one week.
