Visit course webpageThe Master's programme Biomedical Technology and Physics (BMTP) is directly accessible to students with a Bachelor degree in Medical Natural Sciences and to students with a similar background, like a bachelor in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, University College and BètaGamma.
Admission is based on a strict selection procedure. The Faculty's Admission Board will decide upon your admission after having evaluated your complete online application.
In order to gain admission to the master's programme BMTP, you will need to have at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited research university including at least three full years of academic study amounting to a minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent. We do not require a GRE or GMAT test score.
Direct admission to master's programme BMTP is possible with a bachelor degree in Medical Natural Sciences of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. If you have a Bachelor's degree in a related subject, you will have to meet certain entry requirements depending on the specialisation you choose.
Important: All students must contact the master coordinator of the specific specialisation.
English language test
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam requires all international students and students with a HBO degree to take an English test and to submit their score as a part of the application. Exceptions are made for students who have obtained a Dutch VWO diploma.
