Course summary
Overview
If you want to explore the skills needed to become a professional actor - and also develop your ability as a singer - then this course is for you. This degree will enable you to become a self-reflective practitioner who can think, write and develop their own work.
Why choose this course?
You will study Eastern and Western European theatre, and concentrate on a variety of acting styles. In the third year you will get the opportunity to promote your work to leading industry professionals in masterclasses, workshops, mock auditions and in the West End agents' showcase.
You will have access to flexible performance spaces, with lighting and sound equipment, a dance studio, rehearsal rooms and additional external facilities, including professional theatre venues.
We encourage you to critically assess the global influences acting has as an art form, and we reference these in lectures and workshops.

Please note fees are paid for each year of study unless otherwise stated. You will be required to re-enrol and pay fees at the beginning of each academic year. You are welcome to apply even if you don't have any formal qualifications. Your application will be considered on its individual merits taking into account your professional, work and life experiences and also your ability to engage with and benefit from the course. You must also show equivalent competencies in English and Maths.
International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 6.0 or above and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
