Are you interested in scientific research? Do you want to learn more about diseases and understand why some people get sick and others don't? In that case we recommend that you join the Master in Biomedicine program at Umeå University. The Master programme in Biomedicine will give you excellent knowledge and skills to use advanced scientific methods and will prepare you for PhD studies or the basis for job in pharmaceutical companies, with authorities or in the health care system.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent first-cycle qualification comprising of at least 180 ECTS or a corresponding qualification from an internationally recognised university. Specific entry requirements are: 20 ECTS from completed courses in Chemistry, including at least 5 ECTS in Biochemistry, or alternatively, 20 ECTS from a combination of completed courses in Chemistry and Physics and/or Mathematics, including at least 5 ECTS in Biochemistry; and in addition, 5 ECTS in Classical Genetics, 7.5 ECTS in Cell Biology, and 15 ECTS in Human or Zoo Physiology including Immunology, Neurobiology and Pathology. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B/6.
