About Communication - International Communication Management, BA - at Fontys University of Applied Science

Are you fascinated by the global society and how people interact in different cultures? Do you want to help organisations to reach people through creative communications campaigns? Then International Communication Management is for you! Modern communication methods have turned the world into a global village. Organisations communicate with increasingly diverse groups. These organisations are looking for communications professionals who understand how to bring a message across, through the right medium and to the right target group. International Communication Management (ICM) is aimed at creative and cosmopolitan individuals who are open to the world. The programme is taught in English to students from all corners of the world. With extensive opportunities for international exchanges, ICM is an excellent stepping stone to a career in international communications and related fields.

Entry requirements

As a prospective Bachelor's student you must have a diploma of higher secondary education that is equivalent to Dutch standards. This means:

For Dutch students:

  • VWO-, HAVO- or MBO-diploma level 4

For students of other nationalities:

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB programme)
  • General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) and General Certificate of Education (GCE). Requirements: at least 6 different exam subjects in total. Minimum for the examined subjects is 4 GCSE subjects with grades A*, A, B or C and 2 GCE subjects at A/S Level (no specific grade required). A/S Level means advanced subsidiary level (previously advanced supplementary level)
  • Any equivalent education (to be compared by our institution)

Since every country has its own school system we will check your diploma once we have received it from you. In this way we can compare it to the required Dutch standards.
