The 3-year BA programme gives students core knowledge of European politics, culture and society whilst emphasising Europe’s role in a wider global framework. Key concepts, such as culture, identity, diversity, democratic processes, Europeanisation and globalisation, are discussed in an interdisciplinary manner. Tackling European affairs through a sociological, political and economic lens, students gain a cross-sectional awareness of the many challenges contemporary societies are facing. The programme equips students with tools to analyse current events and understand the complexities of political and socio-economic phenomena, moreover preparing students for further education in the field of international relations.
Students learn foreign languages, get intensive training in academic English, take part in lectures and seminars conducted by prominent academics and practitioners, and benefit from organised study trips to neighbouring countries.
Students of the programme benefit from internship opportunities at one of the CES/IES partner institutions in Poland as well as in other European countries.
Graduate profile
Programme graduates obtain knowledge of the principal traditional and contemporary trends in society, culture, politics and economy of Europe. This programme also serves as the first step towards continuing the student’s academic education on a graduate and postgraduate level.
The graduates are prepared to find employment in public administration, national and international institutions and organisations, EU institutions, non-governmental organisations, international companies, cultural institutions, mass media, and publishing.
