Public relations (PR) is concerned with the management and distribution of information about an individual or organisation to the general public or other organisation to affect their public perception. This can involve communicating on behalf of the individual or organisation, managing their business affairs and social appointments, and disseminating information that is relevant or important, among other things. A public relations manager plays an important role in the maintenance of the success and reputation of individuals, businesses and organisations.
