Study a Music Production degree in the UK in 2025

Music production is a discipline that looks at developing, creating and producing music, and then preparing it for release to the public. There are 6 main stages of music production: songwriting, arranging, tracking, editing, mixing and mastering. You will learn the basics of these processes, with opportunities to put your technical skills to the test with real life music production tasks.

During a Music Production degree, you will cover a range of topics around music, as well as some topics that are more specifically related to the discipline. Some examples of these modules are:
