Information systems is an area concerned with the collection, processing, storage and distribution of information. Information systems are usually composed of four different components: task, people, structure and technology. As someone who is working in information systems, you will be responsible for ensuring that data and information are stored and processed correctly, and that the procedure of distributing that knowledge and information can be done efficiently and effectively.
