About Educational Planning, Economics and International Development, MA - at University College London (UCL)

This masters degree will:

  • provide you with the relevant knowledge, understanding and skills to work in educational planning, policy, management and administration in the context of international development
  • identify the interconnections between society and the economy, and the implications for educational planning
  • apply economic principles to educational planning issues
  • critique the ways in which economic analysis and evidence are applied to education policy issues
  • understand the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to educational planning
  • analyse an educational planning problem in the context of the national economy and its development.

A good first degree or equivalent and, normally, appropriate experience in a low- or middle-income country.

Entry requirements

1. Students are normally required to have a minimum overall IELTS score of 7.0 for direct entry, with a score of no lower than 6.0 for writing and 6.5 for reading. 2. A good first degree or equivalent and, normally, appropriate experience in a low- or middle-income country.
