About Construction Project Management, BSc (Hons) - at Heriot-Watt University

The construction industry is thriving and shows no sign of stopping. According to Global Construction 2030 report, the volume of construction output is forecast to grow by 85% by 2030 with the UK being a stand out growth market in Europe.

Studying Construction Project Management at Heriot-Watt gives you the vital skills and versatility required by an increasingly dynamic industry. Our course aims to provide students with the knowledge, leadership and management skills necessary for the effective delivery of construction projects from inception to occupation.

Facilities

The School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society (EGIS) has a suite of unique state-of-the-art built environment facilities and software systems that are used by all of our undergraduate students throughout their studies as well as postgraduate and research students. For Construction and Surveying purposes students have access to:

  • Light Structures Lab using the Denison Machine to test steel rods to destruction.
  • Immersive Virtual Reality System A unique system showing the value of immersive technology within industry.
  • Autodesk Revit a modelling software to design buildings and structures in 3D.
  • Synchro a 4D virtual construction software to create simulations.

Go Global

Option to study at our Malaysia campus through Heriot-Watt's Go Global programme.

Recognised by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES).

  • For all Levels, applications are welcomed from holders of non-school qualifications and mature candidates.
  • All EU and overseas candidates will require an IELTS overall grade 6.0 (or equivalent) with no component lower than 5.5 or equivalent.
