Why study Biochemistry? (Honors)
Biochemistry explores the chemistry of living organisms and the molecular basis for change occurring in living cells, providing the basis for practical advances in areas as diverse as medicine, agriculture, veterinary medicine, and forensics.
The Honors Biochemistry degree is a structured program that includes a directed research project in the senior year. You can access unique opportunities like our research abroad course and Certificate in Biomedical Research to further develop your research skills and gain experience that will take your education in new directions.
Biochemistry can also be taken as part of a BSc with Specialization degree.
Why take the BSc Specialization degree?
The Bachelor of Science Specialization degree provides a focused education in one program. You will take most of your courses in your main subject area, and are expected to maintain a higher standard of academic achievement. A Specialization degree can provide the background to help you proceed to a higher degree, but its primary function is to provide a comprehensive education at the undergraduate level.
