About International Marketing, MSc - at Mälardalen University

We live in a globalized world and as an international marketer you will face issues stemming from the diversity of organizations, countries and customers. This programme will give you a head-start by allowing you to develop your skills and knowledge about marketing, strategy and culture as well as research method.

The International Marketing programme provides you not only with theoretical knowledge of international marketing and business but also helps develop the skills needed for successful collaboration within and between multinational groups. It also provides you with an understanding of management and strategy of international business, as well as different kinds of marketing. The programme is designed to increase your knowledge and skills through reading, discussing, searching for information and making analyses, as well as to prepare you for work in an international environment. Apart from taking a final written exam, your skills will also be evaluated during seminars and through several projects. 

Your training as a marketer and international business professional starts in the classroom where you need to actively participate in discussion, projects and presentations. For this reason these are all mandatory and cannot be substituted with other tasks. These assignments will be presented in writing andorally at seminars. During the seminars, all students will peer-review and scrutinize each other's papers in groups.

Notes about fees for this course

Starting with the academic year 2011/2012, students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, are required to pay a tuition fee for studies in Sweden.

Entry requirements

A completed Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education of three years or more, equivalent to at least 180 credits and with a major in the field of Business Administration.

A TOEFL test result, minimum score 575 with a TWE score of at least 4.5 (PBT) or 90 with a TWE score of at least 20 (iBT) or an IELTS test result with an overall band score of minimum 6.5 and no band score below 5.5 or equivalent is required.
